Walking
For routes to Eden walkers can also follow the Clay Trails cycle routes. There are also combined footpath and road routes from Luxulyan, Par and St Austell which all have rail links. See local map OS Explorer 107.
There is a reduced price admission for cyclists and walkers, and you can use our fast track admission desk. Please let our admission staff know if you walked or cycled. (Please note: you will need to buy your tickets on the door, cyclists and walkers can't buy tickets in advance).
Cycling
The Clay Trails cycle routes come to Eden from Bugle (4 miles) and Wheal Martin (5 miles), and along the way you can see some of Cornwall’s mining heritage and enjoy some spectacular views.
You can access these trails from the National Cycle Network route 3, which runs through Bodmin and St Austell.
The roads from Par, Luxulyan and Bugle (all have rail stations) are rural or B roads and with care you can choose a route using scenic, quiet country lanes. See local map OS Explorer 107.

This bus will drop you off near our North gate (a walk of about half a mile to the nearest car park served by a park-and-ride bus) or our East gate (about ½ mile from our visitor centre).

By train
You can purchase an all-inclusive package (rail travel to St. Austell, bus transfer and discounted admission to Eden) at any rail outlet.

The main line runs from London Paddington to Penzance, with additional services from Aberdeen, via Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and many other stops in between.

The Par to Newquay branch line is a particularly beautiful journey, passing through the spectacular Luxulyan valley and across Goss Moor to reach Newquay.
Coming from Newquay, get off at Bugle for a cycleway to Eden (4 miles) Luxulyan for a footpath/B road walk to Eden (2.5 miles) or Par to cycle or walk (3 miles)

By Car
The Eden Project is well signposted from both the A30 from Exeter and the A391/390 from Plymouth.
Visitors from outside the county can take the M5 southbound, to Exeter, where the motorway splits. Take the A30 and continue until you reach the Innis Downs junction (A 391) from which Eden is well signposted. There is ample parking at Eden and a park & ride service operates from the outer car parks.
Car share

By Air
The nearest airport is Newquay, served by flights from destinations including London, Manchester, Leeds/Bradford, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dublin and some European cities.

From the airport you can get the Western Greyhound bus 521 to St Austell.
