Love your partner, love the planet with Eden’s home-grown Valentine’s bouquets

January 22, 2010

The Eden Project has launched a new range of flowers for Valentine’s Day but, unlike most February 14 bouquets, there’s not a rose to be seen.

That’s because Eden’s flowers are all English varieties, grown locally and including organic foliage from the Tregothnan Estate near Truro. The range also comes in recycled packaging.

This enables people to show as much passion for the planet as for their loved one as none of the blooms have been imported from overseas.

Mark Beeley, Eden’s Retail Director, said: “We are absolutely delighted with this year’s Valentine flower range, it really shows what working with ethical, like-minded local partners can achieve.

“Our customers told us how much they enjoyed our first selection of Valentine flowers last year and we have responded this year with an expanded, even more stunning range this year.”

Included in the range is:

  • The Love of My Life Posy Heart (£19.50), a delicate arrangement featuring mixed anemones, a heart made from red dogwood and packaged in a gift box.
  • The Eden English Flower Heart (£29.50), a beautiful arrangement of anemones arranged with foliage from Tregothnan against a unique heart made from red dogwood. Finished and supplied with raffia and an Eden gift card.
  • The Eden Camellia Bouquet (£35), a bouquet featuring stunning flowering camellias and pieris all grown and hand-picked from the Tregothnan Estate.
  • The Eden Flower Heart and Fair trade Chocolate Hearts (£35), an English Flower Heart complimented by a box each of Divine fairly traded milk and dark chocolate hearts.

Each bouquet has been designed and constructed by Tregothnan’s florists with input from the Eden Project.

All these bouquets and more are available from the Eden Project online shop at www.edenprojectshop.com. Prices included delivery and orders should be placed by 4pm, Wednesday February 10 to ensure delivery before Valentine’s Day.
