The Hours to support Kasabian at the Eden Sessions

June 30, 2009

Indie rockers The Hours will play on the same bill as Kasabian for their Eden Session on Saturday (July 4).

The Hours, who are touring with Kasabian following the release of their second album See The Light in April, will be the first band to grace the Eden Sessions stage in 2009.

They join an illustrious list of acts that have played support slots at the Sessions, including Elbow, Hard-Fi, Vampire Weekend, Editors and Hot Chip.

The announcement follows news that The Hours will be supporting U2 for their August stadium shows.

Peter Hampel, Eden’s Creative Director, said: “It’s that time of year again and great to see top acts like The Hours, The Maccabees, Ladyhawke and Florence and the Machine lining up to support this year’s Sessions.

“We’ve got a few very special guests and surprises lining up on the Razorlight and Paul Weller nights too and a few tickets still available so hurry up and book now if you don’t want to miss out.”

The Kasabian Eden Session is now sold out but tickets are still available for Razorlight and The Maccabees on July 9, Paul Weller and Florence and the Machine on July 10 and The Kooks and Ladyhawke on July 18. Oasis, who play on July 14, are also sold out.

The Paul Weller Session is being staged in support of the Prince’s Rainforests Project in association with EDF Energy and marks the first Green Britain Day (www.teamgreenbritain.org).

Tickets to all Eden Sessions are priced at £35 each plus a £5 booking fee per ticket. To book, contact the Eden box office on 01726 811972 or visit www.edensessions.com.

Eden has teamed up with First Bus to provide transport to various Cornish destinations after each Session.
