Love your Mum and Mother Earth on Mothers Day!

February 25, 2010

The Eden Project has launched a range of flowers for Mothering Sunday with a sustainable scent to keep Mother Earth happy too.

Eden’s flowers are all English varieties, grown in the UK and including organic foliage from the Tregothnan Estate near Truro. The range also comes in recycled packaging.

This enables people to show as much love for the planet as for their mum as none of the blooms have been imported from overseas.

Mark Beeley, Eden’s Retail Director, said: “It’s a unique bunch of flowers that are on offer for Mothering Sunday. Not only can mums all over the UK appreciate the true beauty of English-grown flowers but they can also rest assured that their bouquets have not been flown hundreds of miles to get to their vases.”

Each bouquet has been designed and constructed by Tregothnan’s florists with input from the Eden Project.

Included in the range is:

  • Eden Heaven Scent - Shake off the winter blues with a beautiful English flower bouquet that produces a lovely, fragrant smell. Featuring daffodils grown by Fentongollan, near Truro, English tulips and locally grown Alstromeria. £30 including delivery.
  • Eden Lush Lemon – Delight you mother this March with the beautiful Eden Spring bouquet made with the best of English flowers and foliage sourced from the Tregothnan Estate. £32.50 including delivery.
  • Eden Love you Mum - A simple, fragrant bouquet created from Cornish flowers and foliage. £25.00 including delivery.
  • Eden Secret Garden - A gorgeous hand-tied bouquet of English Spring daffodils and tulips that not only looks fabulous but produces a beautiful, fragrant smell. With foliage cut from the Tregothnan Estate this bouquet will be greatly appreciated. £45.00 including delivery.

All these bouquets and more are available from the Eden Project online shop at www.edenprojectshop.com. Prices included delivery and orders should be placed by Wednesday 10th March to ensure delivery before Mothers Day.
