At the Living Theatre of Plants and People, your guests can travel from Cornwall via the Mediterranean to the Rainforest and back again in a single day, working or playing against stunning backdrops in a place where, not so long ago, nothing grew.

Positive futures
Eden was built in an old clay pit to show that degraded environments can be fixed. It is a symbol of hope, showing what can be achieved when groups of people put their minds to something.

To get in shape for the challenges of the future, we need a culture that knows how to sustain the things that sustain us and at the same time nurtures creativity, imagination and adaptability.
Sustainability at Eden
At Eden we have a philosophy called Waste Neutral.
This expands the three well known R’s of Reduce,Reuse, Recycle and adds a fourth element of Reinvest (buying stuff made from recycled materials).
We work with our suppliers to ensure all goods arrive on site with the minimum of packaging and try to ensure our activities produce as little waste as possible.
We reuse whatever we can on site to reduce the waste we produce; if it cannot be reused we try to ensure it can be recycled. We recycle everything we can and buy as much as possible from recycled materials.

Food and Drink
We strive to put as much back into the Cornish economy as possible and keep our food miles down.
We provide the finest seasonal produce, and pride ourselves that 81% (and rising) of it is sourced locally.
We also work with local suppliers to help us to maintain our ethical sourcing policy from packaging to product, offering advice and support to ensure best quality with as little damage to the environment as possible.
